TOFFELIT ovat 100% aitoa villaa, eli ovat erittäin helppohoitoiset, mutta se ei tarkoita, että niitä pitää jättää hoitamatta. Oikealla hoidolla pidennät huopikkaiden käyttöaikaa ja ulkonäköä.
TOFFELI – huopakengät eivät tule helposti likaiseksi, mutta se riippuu myös missä säässä niitä käytetään. Alhaalta löydät puhdistus- ja hoito-ohjeet eri tilanteisiin!
PUHDISTUS JA TUULETUS
TOFFELEIDEN huopapintaan tarttuneen lian voi puhdistaa harjaamalla pintaa tavallisella juuriharjalla. Jos huopakenkiin tulee tahroja, voit poistaa ne pyyhkimällä sienellä ja miedolla pesuaineella. Talviaikaan huopakengille riittää yleensä hoidoksi tuuletus, ja kesäaikaan niitä voi tarvittaessa raikastaa ruokasoodalla: ripottele ruokasoodaa huopakengille, anna sen vaikuttaa puolisen tuntia ja imuroi sitten pois.
Huopakenkien pintaa ei tarvitse eikä kannata käsitellä, sillä muuten niiden hengittävyys voi häiriintyä. Villa hylkii luontaisesti likaa, vettä ja hajuja. Villa myös huolehtii itse kosteudensäätelystään: jos jalka hikoaa, villa imee kosteuden ja päästää sen sitten takaisin ilmaan kun kenkien annetaan olla.
PESU JA KUIVAUS
Huopakenkiä ei koskaan pidä pestä pesukoneessa, eikä pesemiselle muutenkaan ole tarvetta. Huopakengissä käytetty villa on materiaalina antibakteerinen, ja siksi bakteerit eivät elä siinä. Samasta syystä huopakenkien villamateriaali ei myöskään haise hielle.
Huopakengät kuivuvat hyvin huoneenlämmössä, älä kuivaa niitä esim. saunassa, sillä villa kutistuu korkeissa lämpötiloissa.
Huopakengät eivät mene pilalle kastumisesta, mutta on tärkeää kuivattaa ne käytön jälkeen. Jos huopakenkiä käytetään toistuvasti märkinä, niiden villakuitu alkaa pikkuhiljaa venymään tai pahimmillaan se voi irrota pohjasta.
HUOPAKENKIEN SÄILYTYS
Huopakengät on hyvä säilyttää ilmankosteudeltaan vakaassa tilassa. Jos kengät ovat pidempään pois käytöstä, ne voi varmuuden vuoksi suojata muovipussilla. Huopikkaat on perinteisesti suojattu sanomalehteen käärimällä, jotta koiperhoset eivät pääse tuhoamaan villaa, mutta muovipussi ajaa hyvin saman asian.

Paksu EVA (etyyli-vinyyli-asetaatti) – pohja tuo TOFFELI huopikkaille lisää käyttömahdollisuuksia. EVA – pohja on umpisoluista, puolijäykkää solumuovia. Sen etuja ovat joustavuus, pehmeys, hyvä säänkesto ja kemiallinen kestävyys. Lisäksi sillä on hyvät lämmöneristysominaisuudet ja iskunvaimennuskyky. TOFFELEIDEN käyttöaika ei rajoitu vain talvipakkasiin, ne voi käyttää niin +15 asteessa kuin -35 asteessa.
Huopatossut ja -kengät muotoutuvat käytössä ja lopullinen lesti leveyden osalta tulee käyttäjän omasta jalasta. Erikoismuotoiltu TOFFELIN ergopohjallinen tuo kenkään lisää käyttömukavuutta ja tukee hyvin jalkapöytää.
